MY League of Friends

Michael Yoakley’s Charity has a successful League of Friends, who are involved in supporting the wellbeing of all residents by volunteering their services to the Charity and organising fundraising events.

The League was launched in June 2008 and in its first year has raised over £7,000 towards the purchase of a magnificent new greenhouse. This replaces the old ones demolished to make way for the building of the new respite care rooms. The current project is buy new equipment for the Yoakley House laundry.
Fundraising events have included quiz nights, film nights, a strawberry tea, "Jazz in an English Garden", concerts and a fireworks party.
