Home Services About Us Donations Links FAQs Services Our unique complex on the outskirts of the seaside town of Margate, Kent, comprises 45 almshouse cottages and bungalows and a residential care home with 26 single ground floor ensuite rooms, one of which is designated to respite care. A further 5 respite care homes rooms are to be added in 2009. The enclosed grounds are an oasis of tranquillity and exceptional beauty. This unmatched setting together with the exceptional care offered gives the older person the opportunity to live a fulfilled and happy later life, with as much independence and choice as they wish to exercise – a real home from home. Whilst the almshouses are still designated to those who could not afford to live comfortably in their own accommodation, residential care provision is open to applicant from all backgrounds. Our staff are trained to the highest levels and in 2008 we opened out own state of the art training annexe to ensure that not only our own staff but also those from other local bodies can continue to hone and improve their skills. Another recent addition to our services is the provision of domiciliary care for our own almshouse residents. The Charity achieves the highest standards of care, with an excellent 4 star rating from the Commission for Social Care Inspection and the Kent Care Homes Association.
