Welcome to Michael Yoakley’s Charity - providers of specialist care for the elderly.

The Charity was established by the Will of Michael Yoakley in 1708 to provide accommodation for the “deserving poor” of the local area initially in the form of almshouse cottages. Today the Charity also provides a residential care home, respite care facilities, a domiciliary care programme for almshouse residents and a state of the art training facility benefiting the local community as well as ourselves.
